Η συνάντηση των ειδικών εμπειρογνομόνων πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 20 Μαίου. Τα μέλη είχαν την ευκαιρία να συνεχίσουν τις διεργασιες για την ανάπτυξη των κατευθυντήριων γραμμών για το σύστημα PPA. Οι εργασίες αφορούν τον ορισμό κριτηρίων ποιότητας στην διαδικασία προετοιμασίας του αιματος, των ανθρωπίνων ιστών και κυττάρων, και οι οδηγίες αφορούν την αδειοδότηση και συλλογή, επεξεργασία, συντήρηση, αποθήκευση και διανομή του αίματος, ιστών και κυττάρων.
Η οδηγίες αυτές στόχεύουν να αποτελέσουν το εγχειρίδιο-οδηγό για τις Αρμόδιες Αρχές και να υπάρξει η αντίστοιχη εναρμόνιση στα κράτη-μέλη της ΕΕ.

2nd GAPP-JA experts meeting in Paris to develop guidelines on the Preparation Process Authorisation (PPA) system
The 2nd Expert Workshop of the GAPP WP6 took place in Paris, on May 20th 2019. Group members had the opportunity to continue work on the development of the overall guidance on the organization of the Preparation Process Authorisation (PPA) system.
The work is about defining clear quality criteria regarding the standards and criteria on blood, tissues and cell preparation processes. This involves guidelines on the procurement and the collection, processing, preservation, storage and distribution of blood, human tissues and cells.
The guide aims to be a reference for Competent Authorities and standardised across the EU Member States.
